Evan and Raymond_Sept2014
"Jared and Jamie met and fell in love in high school. It was love at first sight and they were living their happily ever after with their three biological children when they found the picture of a sweet little boy who just happened to have Down syndrome. They hadn’t planned on adopting at all but his picture rocked their worlds! They leapt in and rushed full speed ahead to bring home Eli in 2012.
Even though Eli was in a good place, their hearts were forever changed when they saw the other children who had to be left behind and so desperately wanted a mommy and daddy too. Once Eli was home and settled, they committed to bringing home two more children who also happened to have an extra chromosome. The girls came home in Feb 2014.
The family settled into a daily routine and was happily trucking along when they saw another little picture that stopped them in their tracks. A sweet little set of brothers who just needed a Mama and Papa to call their own. So they leapt once again, and are so eager to bring the boys home forever!
This will be their third adoption (4th and 5th adopted children) in 3 years and any financial help is most welcomed!"

Tymon

There's a little boy I saw on a waiting child advocacy group on Facebook.I have been keeping his picture and information bummped to the top as much as I can. Well, today while I was checking Reece's Rainbow to see if any of my babies got a family I saw him on the newly listed children! This is great news because they are amazing advocates and he will be seen. Now time for you to meet the cutie for yourself,

Tymon

Tymon (2)Tymon (1)

From Reece's Rainbow Here,
"Boy, born June 2011 PRC  Cerebral palsy, brain injury
From Tymon’s file dated 2/2013- Upon admission he was white and fat, 8kg in weight, high muscular tension, primarily diagnosed as brain injury, clear mind, average spirit, good diet and sleeping, normal defecations and urinations, occasionally suffered upper respiratory track infection, diarrhea and tonsillitis.
In May 2012 he was sent to Rehabilitation Hospital for treatment. At the beginning he could not raise his head, was delayed development, average nutrition, could raise his head at 45 degrees when lying on the abdomen, could not turn over and sit, language and intelligence was delayed. His condition was better under the common efforts of nurturers and rehabilitation staff. Now he is 1 year 9 months old, can control his head, can turn over under the help, his muscular tension is improved. He also can recognize surroundings and likes watching other children playing. In a current update(5/2015)- He is receiving PT and OT. He is weak and needs a family to come for him sooner rather than later. He needs to get the attention and nutrition he needs and access to appropriate medical care. Tymon is waiting for his family to find him and time is ticking."
What scares me most is this line, "He is weak and needs a family to come for him sooner rather than later. He needs to get the attention and nutrition he needs and access to appropriate medical care. Tymon is waiting for his family to find him and time is ticking". Mommy please see him today he needs out so he can become all he can be! He has the cutest little head tilt and smile, sadly he has $0 in his adoption account can we change this?

If you are interested in Tymon you can find more about them by clicking on his name or clicking HERE to find out more about the adoption process.

Meet the three cuties of the week

I've seen allot of pain in the adoption world.I've read profiles of kids waiting to be adopted who were beat by the people God put in their lives to love them, children who has been left to waste all because of a diagnoses, children who waiting to be adopted for year and years, children who are left behind and never chosen, children tired to cribs and force feed, the pain and hurt that child has to bear is horrendous. These kids need more than anything is a family is a loving christian home where they are loved unconditionally and can learn about God.You Noticed I said need not want, why? Because they NEED homes if not adopted the kids that age out face even worse problems such as a life in an adult mental instituion, prositution, living on streets and do anything to make it another day. Today I'm  im going to introduce you to three kids that NEED a home.

Vann

vann

From Reece's Rainbow page:
    "Boy, born October 2013
      Update April 2015:
Birth trauma after-effects, tetraparesis, epileptic syndrome Such a sweet, squishy little guy!  His          head is completely flat on the back."
Vann looks so cute with his blond hair and chubby cheeks. I wanted to cry when I read that his head was completely falt on the back. I feel sad for him imagining all that time he must have sent in a crib as a infant without a mommy to hold him and rock him to sleep. He has missed so many snuggles, hugs and kisses. Vann needs a family to save him from more years in a crib. He needs to go outside and see the sunshine, have siblings that love him, and a mommy to love on him. Please see your son today he needs you.

Anna michelle
Anna Michelle

From Reece's Rainbow page:
"Girl, born August 2001
PRC
post op CHD, blind
Anna Michelle ages out at the beginning of August!
Her file is outdated (2009) From her file at the age of 7: Although Anna Michelle can’t see the world she is intelligent and never cries, always waits until the aunts finish work and then play games with her. She can master quickly all the knowledge she has learned. She likes singing and can sing well. Due to the problems of her eyes, it influences her living to some extent, but she can take care of herself, eat alone, put on and off clothes, wash up and clean bedclothes. The aunts always praise Anna Michelle is an intelligent child.
From one of her classmates (and his family) who is now home in the US:

Anna Michelle attends a prestigious School For the Blind where she is an excellent student in grade 5 and earns high grades She is skilled in her native Braille language. She can speak some English and braille English as well (literary uncontracted braille). She enjoys reading and History is her favorite subject. She also plays the Liu Qin which is a 4 string Mandolin. Anna Michelle is in chorus and still LOVES to sing- with the voice of an angel! She loves to play with the other kids on the playground and is independent in regards to self care for hygiene, meals, dressing, etc. Anna Michelle also has excellent O&M skills and uses a white cane to get around independently. She is kind and thinks of her friends, remembering birthdays and doing sweet things for them."

Anna Michelle despareatly needs a family to adopt her before she ages out blind children have no future there. She sounds like an incredible child who would bloom in a loving family. I cannot wait to see the future for Anna Michelle where she can be all she can be and finally have a family to call her own. Please Mommy see her today! Anna Michelle currently needs her adoption grant to be bumped as there is no money currently there would you please help make her future brighter?

Micah
From Reece's Rainbow:
"Boy, born August 2012
PRC
Down syndrome, post-op heart surgery
Micah is 2 and has Down syndrome and has had a heart surgery. He has good life habits. Micah has a normal diet and has a good appetite. He is active and sensible and is close to aunts and mothers who take care of him. Micah can get along well with other children in his class. Micah is nice and lovely. He can do simple pronunciation. He likes listening to music and likes playing with toys. His favorite toy is a ball. Agency staff met and interacted with Micah in September 2014 and he is such a sweetheart!"
When ever I look at Micah's picture his eyes seem to be beging me to pick him up, how badly I wish I could carry him out of that orphanage right now.He looks and sounds like such a sweetheart he would make such a good son for any lucky family.Micah deserves more than a life in an orphanage he needs a mommy and Daddy to hug and kiss him and siblings to play with. Will you be the one to carry him out of that orphan age or will You walk away?

If you are interested in any of the cuties above you can find more about them by clicking on their name or clicking HERE to find out more about the adoption process.

                           Moses Collage

From Reece's Rainbow: http://reecesrainbow.org/85429/moses
"Boy, born May 2012 PRC  Down syndrome, Congenital heart defect
2.5 year old musical Moses is waiting for a family. He is diagnosed as having 1. Post-op Congenital Heart Disease- VSD, PFO, mild tricuspid regurgitation, PH; 2. Down Syndrome. From his August 2014 file: Moses can now sit alone, walk independently for a few steps, and can clap his hands. He is active and he sometimes will make sounds by clapping his mouth to draw people’s attention. He likes to sit in his walker and to walk by holding onto the chair. He is afraid of plush toys and dolls. He does not like deep colored things and he will not touch them. He does not like to eat chocolate cake, but he does like chewy snacks like crackers and he also likes to eat apples. Moses likes to ride the rocking horse the best. When he is tired of rocking, he will look at you and if you rock the horse for him, he will laugh happily. He has a strong imitating ability. All he needs now is for his family to see him and bring him home! *** Additional $7,500 grant available from the agency. ***"

Sadly right now Moses has zero dollars in his Reece's Rainbow adoption grant. Can we change that? All donations through paypal are tax deductible and are the best way to help a waiting child because they encourage families. If you are interested in International adoption you can find out more about the process and how to get started HERE.Let's find a family for Moses quickly lets not wait for him. to get a day older. wit.

Linny 3

I first saw Linny on another advocacy site, actually this blog site HERE to be persice. I fell in love with her big eyes, but most of all I saw her huge need for a family. She looks really tiny and her shaved head makes me want to scoop her up. Today Im happy to tell you she has a family who is very close to meeting her and loving on her, won't you help them  bring her home?

From there Reece's Rainbow Page which can be seen HERE:
"Mark and Mary have been married for 25 years and have 5 children, the last of which was adopted from China in 2013.  They are in the process of preparing their dossier to bring sweet Linny home.  Mark is a patient, stay-at-home dad, who provides care for the three remaining children at home.  He has a history of Traumatic Brain Injury and leads an independent life including coaching baseball and basketball.  His experience with therapeutic interventions will help him to be his daughter’s biggest cheerleader and support as she makes progress toward independence.  Mary is a practicing Speech Language Pathologist who will assist their precious daughter to the highest level of communication independence.  Mark and Mary look forward to bringing Linny home from China as soon as possible.  Please help with your thoughts, prayers and support to bring sweet Linny home.  She has waited way too long."

This family is has a blog which can be seen HERE if you would like to follow along with their adoption journey. I loved the new pictures of Linny they have on there I would check them out if I was you she is a cutie :). The Wierenga family

Meet Elijah and the Wierenga family,
      Elijah

From Their Reece's Rainbow family sponsorship page:
"Colleen and James first met in college.  Colleen was a freshman and James was a junior.  After James graduated, they parted ways, then five years later they started dating.  Two years after that, they got married, and they have been married for two years.  After exploring state adoption and not really agreeing with their system, Elijah’s file basically fell in their lap, and James and Colleen knew he was theirs.  Colleen and James have always wanted a big family, through adoption and biological children.  Elijah will be their first child and they couldn't be any happier.  They cannot wait to show him the world."

Elijah is a chubby cheeked sweet brown eyed boy who is one year old  is in a bad orphanage at the moment so the Wierenga family could use all your help in breaking their little one out. If you are interested in helping the Wierenga family break there little one free you can make a tax deductible donation here http://reecesrainbow.org/88166/sponsorwierenga.

Abner and Lolita

Meet cute Abner,

abner-2015
This boy is quite the cutie with his blond hair and big smile. Abner needs to be adopted so he can be all he can be. With the proper medical care this boy will truly blossom.Sadly he has been transferred to an institution so he needs to come home ASAP. Could he be the missing piece to your family?

From his Reece's Rainbow page:

"Boy, born December 2009
Diagnosis:  after-effects of general disease of the central nervous system (neuroinfection); spastic tetraparesis with strong motor disorders; general mental delays, including speech underdevelopment; undescended testicles; shortcut frenulum of tongue; convergent squint

UPDATE DECEMBER 2014:  ”Abner is a happy little boy who does not speak but whose facial expressions are easy to read. Those expressions are generally of joy, especially when he is given love and attention. Occasionally I would see a different expression, one that would break my heart. At 5 years old Abner is spending a lot of time in a wheelchair, unable to participate in playing with the kids around him, and the look of “I want to play too!” on his face broke my heart. When he had the opportunity to participate in playtime he always looked very happy and proud of himself. This sweet little boy needs a family who will be able to help him to reach his full potential!”

From a volunteer who visited with him in July 2014: “Abner has been transferred from the baby orphanage to an institution. He looks fine for now, but I wasn't able to personally interact with him because of the nurses. He has quite a normal size for his age, compared to the other children in his group. I’m not sure if I was able at that moment to make a sane judgement call about that, but compared to the others he was doing quit well physically. I hope someone will take him home before he has to get worse. I've seen most of the children in that facility get worse through the years, so please, someone go get him!"

Next meet beautiful Lolita,
Lolita3 (2)Lolita3 (1)
Lolita is a stunning little girl, her expression seems to say, are you my parents?I bet she would a beautiful addition to any family. She needs a family that will make her smile and tell her she is loved.

From her Reece's Rainbow page:

"Girl, born 12/2008 PRC
Brain dysplasia; post-operative congenital heart disease
5 year old Lolita is looking for a special family that will be hers forever. She is diagnosed with brain dysplasia and post-operative congenital heart disease. Lolita was abandoned at 4 years of age…can you even imagine? She had a surgery for her CHD before arriving at the orphanage. She can walk alone without help, but her step is a bit abnormal. She is curious and observant of her surroundings.Lolita is reserved, but gets along with her caretakers. When asked something, she will shake her head. Currently she is receiving preschool education in the center. Lolita can feed herself and use the bathroom independently, but her language is delayed. She has trouble with pronunciation and is only saying simple words. She will receive speech training to help her with this. Lolita has fine muscular tension of the limbs, but her motion is fairly flexible. Her fine motor of the upper limbs is poor. She enjoys going for walks outside and building towers with blocks. Lolita is gentle, cute, and quiet. She has a sweet smile. She likes to watch TV, listen to music and she is an easygoing child.
Update 4/2015- Look who is smiling again! From an adoptive family who met her on a visit to her orphanage. Lolita is definetly delayed, but she is walking and her smile has returned!

Both of this children  are waiting for a family if you are anyone you know are interested in adopting one of these children you can learn more about the process here-http://reecesrainbow.org/new-family/international-adoption-process

Not able to adopt there are many other ways you can help:
1. blogging- great way to raise awareness about the orphan crisis ,advocate for a waiting child to find a family, or help an adopting family cover the cost of adopting their child.

2. praying- taking a couple minutes to pray for a child a day is very powerful.

3. donating-each child and adopting family on Reece's rainbow has a tax deductible adoption grant you can donate to that will help the adopting family or future adoptive family adopt them.

Would you like to see your favorite waiting child on this blog? For an donation of any amount to the Lowman family you can- http://reecesrainbow.org/87229/sponsorlowman just comment on this blog once you have donated with the child you would like me to write a post about.
